Taco Soup

This recipe was submitted by Jerri Zachary at TexasCook.com.

  • 1 lb hamburger
  • 1 can ranch-style beans (do not drain)
  • 1 can whole kernel corn (do not drain)
  • 1 can Rotel tomatoes
  • 1 Rotel can of water
  • 1 can chopped green chiles
  • 1 pkg ranch-style dressing mix
  • 1 envelope taco seasoning
  • 2 Tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin (comino)
  • 1 tsp minced garlic

Brown meat in large pan. Drain grease and wash with hot water to rid excess grease. Put hamburger and ingredients in pot. Add water to your desired consistency. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, simmer 30 minutes.

Serve with cornbread or tortilla chips.

This freezes well for later use, or double recipe. Eat one, freeze one.
