7-Up Chicken
- 1 c. vegetable oil
- 2 c. 7-Up (or other lemon-lime soda)
- 1 c. soy sauce
- 1-1/2 tsp. garlic powder
- 12 to 16 pieces of chicken, with or without skin
- Salt and pepper to taste
Create marinade in a non-metal bowl, by combining oil, 7-Up, soy sauce and garlic
powder. Mix well. Add salt and pepper to chicken, then place in the marinade. Cover
bowl and marinate overnight in the refrigerator. Grill over medium-high heat, turning
frequently and basting with marinade. Cook chicken until it is not pink and the juices
run clear. Throw away the remaining marinade.
Serves 6-8.
